Thinking about this for a pool area in a cold climate. Does the honed or tumbled finish stay grippy when wet? Any freeze–thaw test info would help. Thanks!
BOLQA technical team –
Thanks! For pool decks in cold climates we usually recommend tumbled or brushed—both have noticeably better traction when wet. Honed looks sleek but is smoother, so if you choose it we can add an anti-slip treatment. In freeze–thaw zones, good drainage + an impregnating, breathable sealer are key. We can share our EN slip and freeze–thaw test reports on request, plus care guidelines for winter maintenance.

Quick spec check: density, water absorption, and compressive strength—and do you sell it filled or unfilled? We’re considering it for stairs and some façade panels
BOLQA technical team –
Typical ranges for this stone: density ~2,400–2,600 kg/m³, water absorption generally ~0.6–1.8%, and high compressive strength suitable for flooring and façade when detailed correctly. We offer filled or unfilled; finishes include honed, brushed, tumbled, antiqued. For façade panels we usually go filled + honed/brushed; for stairs we add anti-slip nosing if you like. If you need exact figures, we’ll share the EN certificates for the current quarry lot.

RFQ: about 1,200 m² in 600×1200×20 plus stair treads/risers. Could you quote FOB Bandar Abbas and CIF Hamburg, confirm crate packaging, and include the test certificates?
BOLQA technical team –
Happy to quote. We can price FOB Bandar Abbas and CIF Hamburg side-by-side. Export packing is HT-stamped wooden crates, foam/corner protection, and strapping; slabs go on A-frames. Please share:
– Final quantity per size, finish (filled/unfilled, honed/brushed/tumbled), and stair tread/risers dimensions.
We’ll attach the latest EN 13755 (water absorption), EN 1926 (compressive strength), EN 12371 (freeze–thaw), and EN 14231 (slip) reports with the offer.

Do you offer both vein-cut and cross-cut? I’m after 600×600 tiles plus a couple of 2 cm slabs for a feature wall—can you bookmatch, and what’s the usual lead time to Germany?
BOLQA technical team –
Yes, we do both vein-cut and cross-cut. Standard tiles include 600×600×20 mm and 600×1200×20 mm; slabs come in 2 cm and 3 cm. Bookmatching is available (especially nice in vein-cut on walls). Usual MOQ for export is ~450 m² per finish/thickness. Lead time is typically 10–20 days production, then about 3–4 weeks transit to Germany. Tell us your quantity/finish and we’ll confirm a firm schedule.

I need pavers and a bullnose coping to match a darker tone. Do you have recent lot photos so I can see the color range? Also, any sealer you recommend for outdoors? can you ship to USA?
BOLQA technical team –
We supply pavers and matching bullnose pool coping in the Maktoob Dark tone. Silver Travertine naturally varies from cool silver/grey to warmer beige with brown veining—before you decide, we’ll send current-lot photos and a small hand sample. For outdoors we suggest a penetrating, breathable sealer (no gloss) after install and light re-sealing every 12–24 months depending on sun and traffic. Yes we do ship to USA, with no problem.
